NUCRYST Pharmaceuticals develops, manufactures and commercializes medical products that fight infection and inflammation using its patented atomically disordered nanocrystalline silver technology. NUCRYST Pharmaceuticals has exciting opportunities within our Manufacturing Department located at our plant in Fort Saskatchewan.
Your Skills will be valued and enhanced as you assist our organization to meet current and future business needs through leading the Quality Compliance Team with:
- Ensuring that internal and external audit requirements for suppliers and contractors are met and systems for maintenance of appropriate compliance are maintained;
- Ensuring all necessary Quality Systems are in place for new products or the transfer of products to the manufacturing site as well as Contractor transfers from site;
- Representing and making decisions for the Quality Team in matters relating to Quality Systems and/or Quality Assurance;
- Training staff on the functionality of the quality systems while promoting the importance of quality, continuous improvement and risk management as a business tool;
- Providing guidance and/or working as a Project Team Member for different projects/issues;
- Reviewing and approving quality records and documents relating to NUCRYST’s Quality System and Quality Assurance Programs.
- Ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately, neatly, and as per procedures
As a Preferred Candidate, you will bring your:
- University degree in a related discipline;
- 5 to 10 years of quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment;
- Sound knowledge of medical device regulations including ISO 13485:2003 and 21CFR Part 820 and/or pharmaceutical GMPs such as 21 CFR Part 210/211;
- ASQ (Certified Quality Auditor) designation and/or sufficient experience (3 to 5 years) in a quality role;
- Strong customer service attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service and quality results;
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and results orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills to facilitate working effectively with wide range and number of people;
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and listening skills to facilitate successful resolution of employee and management concerns and requests;
- Effective time management, decision-making, and planning and organizing skills;
- Attentiveness to details and ability to manage a diverse workload within a fast-paced environment with changing multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.
